Vertical Design LLC is a new concept in Design Management. Owner/Design Manager, Jodi Thimsen, envisioned a Homebuilders Design Studio coupled with Design Management Services where builders and home buyers could find stunning interior and finishes plus experienced, professional design assistance. With that in mind, Jodi started Vertical Design LLC in 2018. Jodi Thimsen brings years of Design Management experience and offers a unique opportunity that will take the stress out of building your new home or your remodel project.

​In 2019, Janay Johnson joined Jodi at Vertical Design. Born and raised in the Roaring Fork Valley, Janay grew up immersed in the world of homebuilding—her dad a general contractor and her mom a realtor. With design in her roots and a passion for helping clients bring their vision to life, Janay brings a personal, grounded perspective to every project.

Together, Jodi and Janay create a seamless and supportive experience for clients—pairing expertise with heart to make the design process feel approachable, inspiring, and tailored to each individual home.
Our Process
Vertical Design LLC is a Homebuilders Design Studio that showcases everything a builder or home buyer needs to personalize their home in a way that reflects their unique personality and lifestyle. Design Consultant/Owner, Jodi Thimsen, works with the home buyer guiding them through the construction selection process while keeping them within their personal budget and aesthetic taste. After the home buyer goes under contract on their new home, several design selection meetings are pre-scheduled with the Design Consultant to select cabinetry, flooring, countertops, wall and bath tile, appliances, plumbing fixtures, lighting fixtures and all the details that will make your home stunning!

Each project is unique, and our scope of work can vary based on the specific needs of our clients. We handle everything from custom single-family homes to large-scale developments of 50+ homes in collaboration with developers.
